Biden’s epidemic adviser praises Trump: doing “great things” for Americans

On Thursday evening, March 11, Andy Slavitt, President Joe Biden‘s advisor on the Chinese Communist virus Epidemic, made a rare speech praising former President Donald Trump. He said Trump has done “amazing things” for Americans, and that it was under the Trump Administration that the U.S. has been able to move forward with vaccine development.

According to the analysis, it is rare for Democrats to praise Trump’s Republican administration in the current political environment that upholds their respective parties. But Slavitt remained sincere in his affirmation of Trump during an interview with Fox on Thursday night. However, Biden did not mention a word about Trump’s accomplishments in his speech on the epidemic that night.

Fox host Dana Perino said at the Time, “I was intrigued by the headline in the New York Times yesterday, where the Writer, Sharon LaFraniere, said, ‘Biden rolled out the vaccine quickly with Trump’s help, so both administrations should be praised, even though neither side don’t want to give each other a lot of credit.'”

Perino then asked Slavitt, “In your speech tonight, would you like President Biden to look back and acknowledge the Trump administration’s help as well?” Slavitt replied, “Well, I think he’ll spend some time talking about that in his speech tonight.”

Slavitt continued, “You know, I think we’re either going to succeed together or we’re going to fail together. There are really no bad guys here …… And, I think we should be grateful for the work that was accomplished by the previous administration and are doing our best to continue and accelerate that work.”

Another moderator, Bill Hemmer, followed up at this point by asking, “So you are grateful for the work that (Trump) has done before?” Slavitt replied, “Indeed.”

Hemmer continued, “So would you also express gratitude to the Trump administration’s ‘Vaccine Godspeed Initiative’ as well?” Slavitt replied, “I would absolutely pay tribute to that action.” “It’s a scientific process, and there were actually scientists developing mRNA vaccines more than 10 years ago. I think the Trump administration made sure that we developed the vaccine in record time. It’s a remarkable thing and we should all be excited about it.”
