Biden’s White House dog bites man, sends him home to Delaware

U.S. media reported yesterday that the younger of President Joe Biden‘s two German shepherds at the White House was involved in a “biting incident” involving an attack on a security officer, and that Biden has since returned them to his Wilmington, Delaware, Home.

Biden’s two German shepherds are Major, a 3-year-old, and Champ, a 13-year-old. Major was adopted by Biden and his wife, Jill, from an animal shelter in November 2018.

Citing two anonymous sources, CNN reported that Major continued to exhibit aggressive behavior, including jumping, barking and lunging at White House staff and security personnel.

The sources described the “biting incident” as involving a security officer, but did not specify whether the officer was injured. But the incident was considered serious enough to send the dogs back to Biden’s Wilmington home last week.

It is unclear when or if the two dogs will be allowed back into the White House.
