The Chinese communist virus (Neocoronavirus) vaccine produced on the mainland has raised concerns about its quality and side effects. The picture is a file photo.
Gao Fu, director of the Chinese Communist Party‘s CDC, claimed during the two sessions of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) recently that the CCP’s vaccine was not used in people over 60 years of age because of good vaccine control in this part of the mainland, which was refuted by Chinese experts in Taiwan and the United States, who argued that the CCP did not have any phase III clinical data on the elderly in this area, which is the real reason.
Gao Fu, a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on the mainland, put forward a proposal at the CCP’s two sessions currently underway – “the establishment of a national vaccine research center”. In an interview with the mainland’s China News Service, he claimed that “the Epidemic in the mainland is not requiring vaccination for people over 60 years old because of proper prevention and control” and that the risk of infection with the CCP virus among the elderly and those with underlying diseases is under control.
He also claimed that whether to vaccinate, when to vaccinate and how to vaccinate “has never been a question of balance between risk and benefit.”
No Phase III clinical trial data for seniors is the real reason
Dr. Lin Xiaoxu, a former virology researcher at the U.S. Army Research Institute, pointed out in an interview with the Epoch Times that “there is no data from the Phase III clinical trial of the Kexing vaccine in China for people over 60 years old. This is the fundamental reason why this vaccine cannot be administered in China to people over the age of 60. There is no scientific basis for Gao Fu’s claim, and there is no data on the mainland that the elderly are doing particularly well with COVID protection.”
He further analyzed that, in fact, globally, elderly people as well as people with underlying diseases are the high-risk group for COVID, “so everywhere, in addition to the priority injection for front-line health care workers, priority is given to vaccination of elderly people, expecting to give priority protection, so that the rate of serious illness and mortality of elderly people after being infected can be reduced after vaccination. “
Lin Xiaoxu compared Israeli and mainland vaccine trials on the elderly, further refuting Gao Fu said, “Israel’s latest vaccination with Pfizer vaccine compared data from three groups of people aged 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 years old and above, and all had significant protective effects. The fact that the country does not dare to publish data related to Kexing’s or Sinopharm’s COVID vaccine for the elderly and patients with underlying diseases indicates that these companies and the government are still hiding something in this regard.”
Dr. Mei-Hsiang Ho, a researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Academia Sinica and an epidemic prevention expert in Taiwan, also said in an interview that no matter what, he (Gao Fu) should just release the data that the elderly can be vaccinated for us to see. Because many vaccines are poorly responded to by the elderly, that’s the reason why they can’t be given, so there must be data.
Since the beginning of this year’s New Year’s Day, the mainland high-profile propaganda vaccine in key populations vaccination, while the age limit for vaccination is 18 to 59 years old. Official media admitted at the Time that age groups other than 18 to 59 years old would have to wait for further clinical testing.
Low willingness to vaccinate among highly educated and medical personnel on the mainland
Gao Fu claimed that the mainland vaccine is in the world’s top tier, but he also pointed out that the vaccine coverage rate on the mainland is low, with more than 52 million doses accumulated as of the end of last month. It would take the middle of next year, or even the end of the year, to cover 70 to 80 percent.
The Communist Party has also repeatedly announced the number of vaccinations, but has not mentioned the immunization status of the vaccinated population, the presence of secondary infections, or the side effects after vaccination.
It has been reported many times before that many people in mainland China have no confidence in the domestically produced vaccine, questioning its safety and efficacy, and are reluctant to get the shot, especially those in the mainland’s highly educated and most important medical institutions for epidemic prevention.
On February 18, China Vaccine and Immunization, a journal of the mainland CDC, also published a survey report, “Survey on the willingness and influencing factors of vaccination against the new coronavirus (CCP virus) among health care workers in Zhejiang Province,” which showed that only 42.46% of this group was willing to receive the government-promoted emergency use of the vaccine of this group expressed willingness to be vaccinated, with lower willingness among women, those with master’s degrees and above, and medical personnel.
As for the use of the vaccine after its release, only 27.65% said they would be willing to receive it voluntarily. Those who are not willing to receive the vaccine are most concerned about “side effects” (57.69%), followed by “doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccine” (34.14%). The mainland media analyzed that this may be due to the fact that the highly educated people know and receive more information.
The two cases of death in Hong Kong within a week after vaccination with the China Kexing vaccine have also raised concerns about the safety of vaccines on the mainland.
It is understood that medical institutions and government workers in the system in many mainland provinces and cities have been mandated to receive the new crown vaccine, with the stipulation that those unwilling to receive it cannot work and will be transferred out of their posts.
Even some communities that are the focus of the epidemic have been mandated to receive the vaccine. For example, citizens in Nangong City, Hebei Province, reported to the Epoch Times that the government forced residents to get vaccinated, saying that “residents over the age of 3 cannot enter public places, including cars, supermarkets, hospitals, etc., without being vaccinated. The community text message notice also said, “Vaccination will be mandatory for a fee after the New Year.”
