How to restore the iPhone after canceling the physical port? Apple research 3 methods

A report says that “iPhone 13″ without a Lightning port may force a change in the recovery process, with an “Internet Recovery” mode that allows reinstalling iOS without connecting the iPhone to a Mac or PC.

Recovering an unresponsive iPhone usually requires connecting to another device, via the Lightning port on the dock. If the rumors about a portless iPhone are true, the lack of a Lightning port or any other standard physical connection could make the device difficult to maintain.

In order to completely reinstall iOS on an unresponsive iPhone without an obvious physical connection, Apple is allegedly looking for ways to make this happen. According to Appleosophy, the main way to achieve this is tentatively called “Internet Recovery”.

Apple’s software team is said to be working on three ways to put the iPhone into recovery mode.

The first method involves the user putting the iPhone into manual recovery mode, which triggers Internet recovery. A nearby Mac computer or a PC with iTunes installed would receive this information and they would pop up a prompt to guide the user through the rest of the recovery process.

The second way is for the device itself to automatically enter that mode, displaying the same prompts again. The third apparently involves the use of Bluetooth as a “last resort” for broadcasting signals and transferring data.

Apple is thought to be more interested in using the first two recovery methods and has apparently been testing them for some Time. However, these processes are currently reportedly too slow for public use, suggesting that more work is needed on the issue.
