British Prime Minister quarantines himself over exposure to new coronavirus infection

The UK’s Sky News Channel website reported on the evening of the 15th that British Prime Minister Johnson is self-quarantined due to his recent contact with a person infected with a new coronavirus, and he has no symptoms of illness at present.

A spokesman for the prime minister was quoted by Sky News as saying that Johnson was in good health and had no symptoms of neo-coronavirus infection, and that he was self-quarantined in the prime minister’s office as required, and would continue to work during this period.

Johnson reportedly had a meeting with several MPs on the morning of the 12th that lasted about 35 minutes, with one of them, Lee Anderson, subsequently showing symptoms and being diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection.

Johnson had previously been diagnosed with neo-coronavirus and was hospitalized on 5 April, but was transferred to the intensive care unit on 6 April after his condition worsened and he recovered.
