According to a poll released Sunday (Feb. 28) by the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), 95 percent of Republicans see the need to advance Trump’s approach to governing as a top agenda, and 68 percent of Republicans want to see Trump continue his campaign in 2024.

The CPAC poll also showed that 97 percent of Republicans declared their approval of Trump’s performance in office, and 86 percent declared their strong approval.

Fifty-five percent of those in attendance picked Trump as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2024, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis coming in second at 21 percent.

The results were announced Sunday afternoon before Trump’s speech, which he released that day for the first Time since leaving the White House.

Mike Pence did not attend the meeting and did not do well in the CPAC vote, selecting him as the potential Republican presidential nominee in 2024 with only 1 percent of the vote.

According to a poll conducted by the leftist media Politico for Republican voters, 53 percent of Republicans said they would support Trump if the primary were held today, higher than Pence’s 12 percent support, while other senators such as Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton and Mitt Romney have less than 5 percent support, and former Secretary of State Pompeo has less than 2 percent.

Commentator Wang Dukran said the poll was unreliable, and the Florida governor was actually nowhere to be found in this poll.

“Trump Calls Opposing Reports Fake News

In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Trump said he would not make any attempt to create a third party, which is the only way Republicans can unite.

Trump delivered his first speech since leaving office at CPAC on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 28). Before walking on stage, Trump embraced the American flag on the sidelines, as he has done before.

Trump said, “We’re not going to start a new party. They keep saying, ‘He’s going to start a brand new party.’ We have the Republican Party. It’s going to unite and become stronger than ever. I’m not starting a new party. That’s fake news. Fake news.”

Trump promised at CPAC that the party would defeat “radical Democrats” in future elections.

“I want you to know I’m going to continue to fight by your side,” Trump said, “and we’re going to do what we’re going to do from the beginning, and that’s win.”

Trump said, “In this chamber, brave Republicans will be at the heart of the effort to oppose the radical Democrats, the fake news media and their toxic Culture of destruction …… culture of cancellation.”

The speech to CPAC was Trump’s first public appearance since he left office 39 days ago. He has maintained a low profile since leaving the White House.

During the speech, Trump criticized the policies of the Biden Administration and laid out the future direction of the Republican caucus. Trump also slammed Senate Minority Leader Mitch-McConnell (R-KY), praised Rush Limbaugh, a well-known conservative show host who died of cancer, and criticized the election controversy issue.

CPAC becomes pro-Trump convention, Trump’s grand finale speech

Trump said Biden’s 39 days in office were “the most disastrous first month of any president in modern history. Trump slammed Biden’s immigration policy and called on Biden to reopen schools.

Trump contrasted: America is not open, only to illegal immigrants. Americans can’t go to school, illegals can.

“We all knew the Biden administration would be bad. But none of us could have expected them to be so bad, to go so far off the rails.” Trump is expected to say. “Biden’s radical immigration policies are not only illegal, they are immoral, heartless, and a betrayal of our core national values.”

Trump said, “I call on Biden to open the schools now. There should be no more delays.”

Trump detailed his vision for the future of the Republican Party and the conservative movement, but he did not specify whether he would make a third run for the White House in 2024.

“I stand before you today to declare that the incredible (America First) journey we began together four years ago is far from over,” Trump said, “and we’re gathered this afternoon to talk about the future – the future of our movement future, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.”

Trump said, “The Republican Party is united. The only divisions are between a handful of establishment political hacks in Washington, D.C., and other members across America.”

“The future of the Republican Party is to be a party that defends the social, economic and cultural interests and values of America’s working families, the party of every race, every color, every creed. Republicans believe that the needs of ordinary citizens must come first.”

He signaled continued toughness against the Chinese Communist Party, “We believe in confronting China (CCP) head on, shutting down outsourcing, bringing back our factories and supply chains, and making sure that America leads the future, not China (CCP) leading the future.”

In his speech, Trump cited the way forward for a Republican victory, saying reforms to the election system are needed to guarantee fair elections. Trump has repeatedly reiterated that his victory in last November’s election was stolen from the Democrats because of election fraud.

Trump lost the election and left office last month, but for many, he remains the de facto leader of the conservative movement. His supporters and some of his opponents believe that if he runs for president in 2024, he will be the Republican nominee.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and Republican Senator Mitt Romney from Utah were not invited to the convention; former Vice President Mike Pence, former Ambassador to the United Nations John Hiley, historically maverick Senator Rand Paul, and Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican House figure in the establishment whose approval rating fell to 13 percent because of his public support for another impeachment of President Trump, the four declined an invitation to attend the meeting.

White House backs investigation into sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Cuomo

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki finally said Sunday (Feb. 28) that President Biden supports an independent investigation into sexual harassment allegations against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

“There should be an independent review of these allegations,” Psaki said in a CNN interview, which she said the administration supports, “and we think there should be progress as soon as possible.”

Former Cuomo aide Charlotte Bennett, 25, told The New York Times in a report released Saturday (Feb. 27) that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed her last year before she eventually resigned last November.

Lindsey Boylan, another former Cuomo aide, recently reiterated her own accusations that the governor had sexually harassed her.

In a sarcastic tweet, U.S.-based scholar Ho Ching-chin wrote, “This Cuomo is so dumb and stupid that his party gave him a weapon: psychological gender identity, which he told the media: at that time, my psychologically identified gender was female. If he says this is same-sex harassment, he says, and when he realizes it’s not okay either, he immediately identifies as male again. And then buy a doctor in New York to prove that he has a mental lapse. “

Prior to that, Cuomo was involved in the New York nursing Home affair, where he was accused of sending 9,000 coronavirus (CCA virus) patients to nursing homes, and was also pointed out by New York State Democrat Rep. for concealing the number of deaths from the nursing home outbreak.

The Gender Equality Act is unconstitutional, and it is within the legislative authority of the state.

In a tweet, “Xu Siyuan/Pants Theory” wrote, “Common law is derived from custom and practice, but not local regulation and custom, but national, in the US, within a state. If a state’s long history of experience and custom does not accept transgenderism, the law shouldn’t recognize it either. To put it simply, the Gender Equality Act is unconstitutional, and it is within the legislative authority of the states. The greatest contribution of the common law was the presumption of innocence, and the jury system came from the King’s Bench.

After pushing $1.9 trillion bill, U.S. government seeks several trillion more in level spending

After the U.S. House of Representatives recently passed a $1.9 trillion Epidemic aid bill, the Biden administration is still seeking a massive spending bill to supply funding needs for U.S. roads, bridges and other infrastructure areas after pushing a related bill.

On Sunday, Feb. 28, U.S. media reported that Biden and his team have begun discussions with members of Congress on an outline of the possibilities for an infrastructure package, which officials say follows major energy and water shortages in Texas, providing an opportunity for a sustained infrastructure spending deal.

Sherwood-Randall, a homeland security aide to Biden, said “the infrastructure can’t withstand these extreme weather conditions” and “we know that we can’t just react to extreme weather events. We need to plan and prepare for them.”

Industry expects the Biden administration to continue to push the priority platform demanded by the left-wing progressive wing of his party. During his presidential candidacy, Biden called for spending $2 trillion over four years to invest in clean energy infrastructure and promote electric vehicles and high-speed rail, but the White House has not ruled out a higher spending price tag.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Feb. 25 that so far the spending scale of the next round of bills has not been determined, and she hinted that the amount of spending could be higher than expected because of the many entries.

“Biden has been a longtime supporter of investing in infrastructure, and the timing of action is late,” she said, “but he also wants to do more on health care, help our manufacturing sector, do more to increase access to affordable health care “.

On Feb. 17, Biden met with 10 senior leaders of the AFL-CIO and other unions at the White House, and The Washington Post reported that union leaders asked Biden to approve up to $4 trillion in infrastructure spending, citing the American Society of Civil Engineers’ estimate of need as that amount.
