Hong Kong’s version of Belle Isle trial begins on March 1, a large number of people in solidarity

Forty-seven Hong Kong democrats were charged by the police with “conspiracy to subvert state power” for their participation in the Legislative Council primary election last year, including Tai Yiu-ting, Au Nok-hin, Chiu Ka-yin and others. Hundreds of people responded to the appeal, dressed in black and holding banners to show their solidarity.
