Cotton: Conservatives Will Always Defend America

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton speaks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Feb. 26.

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday (Feb. 26), saying that when “America is under attack and conservatives are under attack,” conservatives will never surrender and will always defend America.

CPAC is the largest annual conservative conference in the United States and was held this year in Orlando, Fla.

Cotton also slammed the (current) leaders in Washington, D.C. He said that for the first Time, CPAC had to move its annual conference to another state. Even though cases of the CCPV (New Coronavirus) are plummeting and vaccination rates are rising, “we’re still prohibited from holding (CPAC) anywhere near our nation’s capital.”

Cotton said the Black Lives Matter protests that took place last summer, when thousands of people were in the streets, saw a spike in infections. Did any Democratic politicians try to shut down the protests? No. Instead, they went out and marched with them. “If CPAC vows to burn down buildings and tear down statues, then maybe the Democrats will let CPAC go to a CPAC convention near Washington, D.C.”

The riots sparked by last summer’s protests eventually turned into destruction of buildings, arson and the removal of historic statues, among other destructive events. Republicans have repeatedly condemned Democrats for imposing a double standard and for having no condemnation of the left’s vandalism, while going so far as to impeach the former president, who has since left office, over the Jan. 6 incident at the Capitol.

Cotton stressed that the Democrats allow leftist protests while the conservative CPAC convention is not allowed to take place near the capital. This disparate treatment, he said, strikes “at the heart of American liberty. It leads to a situation where your rights may be determined by your speech, your beliefs, the color of your skin, which is “the opposite of freedom.

He warned that conservatives are constantly at risk of being attacked by the left.

Cotton added that he “will never apologize for defending America.”

Cotton also attacked President Joe Biden‘s stance on immigration.

Cotton said Biden and Heather wanted to give Amnesty to 15 to 20 million illegal immigrants without any strings attached, giving them the right to vote when Heather runs for re-election.

Cotton said immigrants who “obey our laws and come here the right way” support Trump (Trump) and America, and that America needs that kind of clear patriotism. “Those radical liberals, they want to erase our history.”
