Biden’s second son, Hunter Biden, was discharged from the Naval Reserve the following year after testing positive for cocaine in a June 2013 drug test, and an allegedly incestuous relationship with his late brother’s widow ensued. After Biden claimed the White House, the marijuana and cocaine possession scandal involving Ashley Blazer Biden, Biden’s only child, came under renewed scrutiny.
Ashley, 39, is Biden’s only child with his estranged wife, Jill Biden. Biden’s first wife, Neilia, was killed in a car crash in 1972, as was their 13-month-old daughter Naomi.
He said he first met Jill in March 1975, but Jill’s ex-husband, Bill Stevenson, said it was all a lie and that the two had met in 1972, and that he had suspected Biden of having an affair with his wife since August 1974.
In contrast to Ivanka, Ashley has kept a low profile, has no public Instagram account and has only been seen more since Biden’s candidacy. However, Ashley herself is a drug addict, like her brother Hunter, and was arrested in 1999 for possession of marijuana, but was not convicted. She was arrested again in 2002 for obstruction of justice.
In 2009, when Biden was vice president in the Obama administration, footage of Ashley smoking cocaine through a red straw came to light. Her controversial behavior went unnoticed for years, but she has since devoted herself to her social work and social justice work, and has created a charity clothing line.
In 2012, Ashley married Howard Krein, then an otolaryngologist at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. 53-year-old Krein was also outed in the media as a medical director at StartUp Health, a venture capital firm, as well as an advisor to the Biden campaign on the response to the Wuhan pneumonia outbreak, even touting China as the country’s most dangerous city. Anti-epidemic “example”, in which there is a possible conflict of interest. In addition, the company has been exposed as having dealings with Chinese companies.
