Surprise! A United Airlines Boeing 777 engine exploded, dropping debris into a home

United Airlines a Boeing 777 from Denver, Colorado airport shortly after takeoff, an engine failure, passengers on board heard the sound of a large explosion, engine debris all the way down to the Denver neighborhood, but the plane turned back to Denver in an emergency landing, did not cause injuries.

United Airlines Flight 328, carrying 231 passengers and 10 crew members, took off from Denver to Honolulu, Hawaii at about 1 p.m. local Time on the 20th, and turned back shortly after takeoff due to right engine failure.

Denver’s Broomfield Township (Broomfield) police posted photos on social media of what looked like the front half of the plane’s engine casing falling into the garden of a Home.

The Associated Press reported that the passenger on board, David Delucia, said the captain heard a big explosion during the broadcast, and the plane shook violently and appeared in flames, “We lost altitude, I thought we were going to be finished, I thought we were going to fall.”

Delucia and his wife rushed to put the wallet containing their driver’s licenses in their pockets so they could be identified by search and rescue personnel after the crash.
