A ludicrous farce related to quarantine and Epidemic prevention recently occurred in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.
According to the mainland media, a man surnamed Pang in Nanjing went to Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, on a business trip on Jan. 5, but ended up in an epidemic and was quarantined on the day he arrived. During the 20-day quarantine, a colleague from the company videotaped Pang and noticed that he had changed drastically, looking transformed and in a trance, allowing his hair and beard to grow wildly.
Worried that Pangnan was suffering from depression, the company quickly set up a “sympathy office” to accompany him on daily remote video and shift “chatter”.
But Pangnan still seemed unstable. On the 23rd day of quarantine, because his colleague was just a few minutes late, Pangnan immediately complained head-on: “What Time is it? Is it time to go off duty? Waiting for you all is already cold! You … you all do your duty, snack.”
The colleague accompanied Pangnan to eat by video, but when he saw the dishes his colleague ate and then looked at the quarantined meal in his own hands, he seemed to be in a more depressed mood, staring at the camera with wide eyes and an incredulous expression.
In any case, in the company of colleagues, Pangnan finally survived until the end of the 25-day quarantine period. The report said he was “crying with joy”, but “three seconds later, he thought of what was wrong: back to Beijing to see his wife and children, is it still quarantine?”
In addition, compared to his original appearance, Pangnan was disheveled after his release from detention, and it was impossible to tell that he was the same person. After the photo was uploaded to the Internet, netizens have marveled, “this is afraid of isolation for 21 years,” and “big brother, scribble a lot of ah.”
