Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States
The Republican Party can never be respected or strong again under the leadership of a political “leader” like Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
McConnell’s commitment to all the usual, status quo policies, coupled with his lack of political insight, intelligence, skill and personality, has quickly turned him from majority leader to minority leader, and it’s only getting worse. The Democrats and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) easily manipulated McConnell – they’ve never been better. -And they want to keep it that way! We know our “America First” agenda is the winner, not McConnell’s “Washington Circle First” agenda or Biden‘s “America Last. In 2020, I received the most votes of any sitting president in history, nearly 75 million… For the first Time in decades, every sitting House Republican won, and we flipped 15 seats, nearly costing Nancy Pelosi her job. Of the 98 partisan legislative bodies, Republicans won at least 59 legislative majorities, while Democrats failed to flip a single legislative body from red to blue. And in “Mitch’s Senate,” which has single-handedly saved at least 12 Senate seats in the last two election cycles, and more than eight in the 2020 cycle alone, and then the Georgia disaster, we should have won two seats in the U.S. Senate, but McConnell raced the Democrats with a $600 stimulus check for $2,000. How was that possible? It became a major ad for the Democrats and it was a key move for them. McConnell then put himself, one of the most unpopular politicians in America, in the ad. Many Republicans in Georgia voted Democratic, or simply didn’t vote, because they were extremely bitter about their incompetent Governor Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and the Republican Party’s failure to do a good job of electoral integrity during the 2020 presidential election.
In Georgia and certain other swing states, it’s been a total electoral disaster. McConnell has done nothing, and will never do what needs to be done to ensure a fair and equitable electoral system going forward. He is not equipped to do so, never has been, and never will be.
My only regret is that McConnell “begged” for my strong support in the 2020 election in front of the great people of Kentucky, and I gave him my strong support. He went from down 1 point to up 20 points and won. How quickly he forgot. Without my support, McConnell would have lost, and lost badly. Now, with his numbers lower than ever, he’s destroying the Republican side of the Senate and, in doing so, seriously hurting our country.
Likewise, McConnell has no credibility on the Chinese (Communist) issue because of his Family‘s large Chinese business holdings. He has done nothing about this huge economic and military threat.
Mitch is a gloomy, brooding, no-smile political hack who will not win again if Republican senators want to stay with him. He will never do what needs to be done or what is right for our country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will support those who are committed to “Make America Great Again” and our main competitor in the “America First” policy. We need excellent, strong, thoughtful and compassionate leadership.
Before the Epidemic, we produced the greatest economic and employment numbers in our nation’s history, and likewise, our economic recovery after COVID (the Communist virus) was the best in the world. We cut taxes and regulations, rebuilt the military, took care of our veterans, achieved energy independence, built the wall, stopped the influx of illegal immigrants into our country, etc. And now illegal immigration is pouring in, the pipeline is being stopped, taxes will go up, and we will no longer be energy independent.
This is an important time for our country, and we cannot let third-rate “leaders” determine our future!
