On February 11, the Public Security Bureau of Pingyi County, Shandong Province, issued a notice stating that a major criminal case occurred at 8:00 a.m. that day in the village of Tongtai, Pingyi Street, Pingyi County. Five people died on the spot and one person died of serious injuries in the Home of Lin Moumou, a villager in the village. The suspect, 45-year-old Liu Moumou (male), a native of the town of Paotai in Pingyi County, had committed suicide on the same day.
The official notification did not disclose the cause of the case.
A local netizen said that the suspect was suspected to have unsuccessfully asked for a debt of more than 6,000 yuan and killed him, “The murderer was the victim’s brother-in-law, who owed him 6,000 yuan in sand money and had not given it for many years.
