On February 8, an infected case was found in Harbin Hulan District’s Happiness Community, and all residents of the apartment building unit where the patient was located were pulled away for centralized quarantine. Authorities also issued a notice reminding the people of Harbin that the Epidemic is not over, especially since the current Spring Festival has begun and the increased flow of people and logistics will increase the risk of spreading the epidemic.

According to local media reports, on February 8, Harbin added one new case of asymptomatic infection, saying it was found in the fifth round of full nucleic acid testing in Hulan District. The patient lives in the Hulan District’s Happiness neighborhood and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person. It has been transferred to a designated medical institution for isolated medical observation.

Authorities issued a notice saying that although Harbin City has previously been free of new confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections for three consecutive days, the outbreak has not ended. People were asked not to go out unless necessary, to obey local management, to minimize mobility, and to strictly comply with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control. Do not gather, do not party, do not dine, and continue to maintain good habits such as wearing masks, washing hands, disinfecting, ventilating, using public chopsticks, and maintaining a safe social distance.

The video posted by netizens shows that on Feb. 8, a case was found in unit 6 of building 2 in Hulan District’s Happiness Community, and the authorities sent many epidemic prevention personnel and two large buses to pull away all the residents of the unit for centralized isolation.
