Little actors’ union wants to fall in line? Trump bullying reappeared: who cares!

Breitbart News reports that Donald Trump has resigned from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), stating, “I don’t want to be associated with your union anymore.”

Former President Donald Trump has resigned from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) (hereinafter referred to as the union), saying, “I don’t want to be associated with your union any longer,” according to reports.

Trump’s statement came after the union threatened to expel him from the actors’ union, claiming it found “probable cause” that the former president, a member for more than 30 years, “violated the union’s bylaws” during last month’s Capitol Hill incident.

In a letter to union president Gabrielle Carter, obtained by Fox News, Trump said, “I am writing to you today about the so-called disciplinary board hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!”

“While I am not familiar with your work, I am very proud of my work in films such as ‘The Kid 2,’ ‘Supermodel’ and ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,’ including ‘Fresh Prince Wonderful,’ and ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and, of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice – just to name a few!” Trump continued.

The former president added that he “has also greatly helped the cable news business (which was reportedly a dying, end-of-Life platform before I got involved in politics) and created thousands of jobs at networks like MSDNC and fake news CNN.”

“This reminds me of your blatant attempts to deflect attention from your poor record as a union through free media attention,” Trump continued.” Your organization has done little for its members and nothing for me – other than collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas – as evidenced by your massive unemployment rate and lawsuits from prominent actors who even recorded a video asking, ‘Why won’t the union fight for me?”

Trump was referring to a video released last year by actors Morgan Freeman, Amy Schumer, Whoopi Goldberg, Martin Sheen and Mark Hamill, who slammed the union’s health plan benefit cuts, saying nearly 12,000 Guild members, most of them seniors, would be kicked off the plan.

In the video, Goldberg asks, “Why won’t the union fight for me?”

In his resignation letter, Trump went on to blast the union’s “policy failures,” adding that its “disciplinary failures are even worse.”

“I no longer wish to be associated with your union,” Trump wrote.” Therefore, this letter is to inform you that I am resigning from the union immediately.”

“You have done nothing for me,” the former president added.
