As the Newcastle pneumonia Epidemic rages on, countries have stepped up their efforts to promote the progress of vaccination, and people’s reactions after receiving the vaccination are also of great concern. A man in his 50s in South Korea was the first to receive the Moderna vaccine as a staff member of the U.S. Army in Korea, and revealed that he was in “so much pain that he had to take painkillers”!

The 50-year-old man from Gyeongsangbuk-do received the first dose of Moderna vaccine on January 4 at a hospital within the U.S. military unit in Chilgok County, and the second dose was injected 29 days later on the 2nd of this month to officially complete the vaccination. The vaccine is said to be provided by the U.S. for use by U.S. troops in Korea, but Korean medical personnel and some staff members are also given priority to receive it. The new crown vaccine expected to be introduced in South Korea, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca vaccine are required to administer 2 doses to complete the vaccination.

The man told the JoongAng Daily on the 3rd that after the second dose of Modena vaccine, his body reacted like a cold, starting with a headache about 3 hours after the first dose, followed by chills and muscle aches, and the pain level after the second dose was about 3 times that of the first dose.

The man said that the medical staff had warned him before administering the first dose that he might experience “low fever and pain” and that antibodies would be produced 15 days after the second dose was administered. The man was also warned by colleagues who had completed the vaccination earlier that he would be in pain, so he had prepared painkillers in advance and took them immediately after the injection, but still did not think it would be so painful.
