New poll finds nearly 80 percent of Americans say they are more intolerant of different political views than ever before.
According to a new poll, 77 percent of Americans are more intolerant of other people’s political views than ever before; however, the vast majority of Americans still support the “America First” policy.
According to the just-released Rasmussen Reports, when Americans were asked a week after the Biden administration took office whether they were “more tolerant or less tolerant of others’ different political views than before “77 percent of respondents said they were more intolerant; only 11 percent said they were more tolerant of different political views.
This response varies little among Republican voters, Democrats, and Independents.
In addition, 37% of those surveyed said that the U.S. election just past had a negative impact on their relationships with friends and Family; and those who answered this question this way were even higher among Republican voters, at 41%.
In addition, 56 percent believe Americans are more divided after the election; 54 percent doubt Biden’s ability to “unite Americans” as he put it.
Another poll by the firm found that 61 percent of Americans still support the “America First” policy. Respondents answered that in the current complex global situation, they are more willing to find the best solution for the United States; and 33 percent believe that a solution that benefits the United States will also benefit the world.
