The date of the two sessions of the Chinese Communist Party was set, and foreign journalists were refused entry into Beijing

The two sessions of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have been at the center of netizens’ tirades in previous years, and this year is no exception.

The date of the annual National People’s Congress has been set amid a viral Epidemic in the Communist Party of China. The Communist Party announced that foreign journalists will not be invited to Beijing for the NPC and CPPCC sessions in March.

Official Chinese media reported on Feb. 1 that the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will open in Beijing on March 5 and March 4, respectively.

The report said that the Communist Party of China virus (Wuhan pneumonia) epidemic is currently a global pandemic, in order to prevent the epidemic, this year’s two sessions of the press coverage work still learn from last year’s two sessions of the practice. Some Chinese and foreign journalists in Beijing will be invited to cover the meeting, but no foreign journalists will be invited to Beijing on an ad hoc basis.

The interviews will be conducted mainly through the Internet, video and written means. The press center of the “two sessions” will make full use of the Internet and other technologies to provide services and contact interviews for Chinese and foreign journalists.

The deadline for journalists to register for the 2021 “two sessions” of the Communist Party of China is Feb. 5, 2021. But speculation is that it is difficult to say whether this year’s two sessions of the Communist Party will be held as scheduled, given the spread of the epidemic in China.

The Communist Party’s National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and National People’s Congress (NPC) meetings, originally scheduled for March 2020, were postponed to May 21 and 22, respectively, after the Communist Party’s viral epidemic was in Wuhan, Hubei Province, in late 2019 and spread globally.

The two CCP sessions at the Time were held during the outbreak, and the CCP feared a cluster infection, with the two sessions setting at least two all-time highs, one being the shortest session and the second being the lowest number of foreign media reporters.
