Mexico’s richest man, Slim, confirms martial lung diagnosis in 2 days

After Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19), the richest man in Mexico, Carlos Slim, who will be celebrating his 81st birthday in two days, also confirmed that he was infected with pneumonia a week ago and is currently undergoing treatment.

The comprehensive foreign media reports, Mexico’s richest man Slim 2 days left to celebrate his 81st birthday, but his eldest son Domit (Carlos Slim Domit) tweeted that Slim has been diagnosed with the martial lung virus for more than a week, the symptoms are mild, the condition is developing well, and is currently receiving treatment in a public hospital; and then Slim Family spokesman, Slim’s son-in-law Ayub (Arturo Elias Ayub, son-in-law of the Slim family, also confirmed the news.

According to Forbes, Slim is worth about $59.9 billion, with most of his assets coming from his shareholding in America Movil; this amount of wealth makes him the 21st richest man in the world and the richest in Mexico, where he was reportedly the world’s richest man from 2010 to 2014.
