There’s No Wrong Way. Jan. 21.
Yesterday, January 20, Biden was officially sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. While I support Trump‘s re-election, I must also face up to and acknowledge this reality: the Democrats are back in the White House. I would like to say that I am not actually a Republican, and I am still unaffiliated in my voter registration. So I’m a standard “Trump supporter, not Republican” kind of guy.
The day before, Trump gave his farewell speech. In the speech, he listed his achievements in the past four years. Although Trump used his usual speech style and seemed to brag a bit, he basically told the truth. These include the Middle East peace deal, including forcing European countries to put more money into NATO, cutting taxes drastically, bringing factories back to the U.S., making the U.S. unemployment rate lower and economic growth higher, and his policies towards Asia, especially his stance on China, getting a vaccine for the COVID-19 virus in record Time, and so on.
There are many policies here that other American politicians are afraid to do, or think they can’t do, and can’t possibly succeed. For example, moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Almost the entire diplomatic and political punditry thought that was impossible and would have triggered a huge conflict or even war in the Middle East. As it turned out, nothing happened, and several other Arab countries established diplomatic relations with Israel under the mediation of the United States.
Trump says he wants to reduce the Middle East military presence and bring the kids Home. Most experts on the Middle East don’t believe it either. Think about it: ISIS was gaining momentum, the Middle East humanitarian crisis was still severe, and the Obama administration’s Middle East policy was ambiguous, pretending to be invisible to Iran’s role. Trump changed his approach, and the results are clear: ISIS was basically extinguished, the Middle East crisis was greatly eased, the European refugee crisis was largely eliminated, and the U.S. military presence in the Middle East was really reduced year by year.
There is also NATO funding, almost all U.S. political experts believe that asking Europe to increase NATO input funding will lead to the collapse of the NATO system. The result is no collapse, according to Trump, the Europeans have increased funding by hundreds of billions, but of course relatively speaking, it is the United States put in hundreds of billions less.
Trump said he wanted to build a wall on the southern border. Everyone laughed at him and thought it was impossible, and Congress did not allocate funds. As a result, the wall was built, and the effect on the border to control illegal immigration is very obvious. Of course, this is actually common sense, we Chinese have been building walls for more than 2,000 years, so we understand the reasoning.
I remember when Trump first took office, almost all economists believe that Trump’s economic policies, will make the U.S. economy collapse, even if the economy was doing well in the very beginning of that year, most economists still insist that that is short-term, the U.S. economy will collapse in two or three years. Of course the economy didn’t collapse and now the economy is in trouble because of the Chinese Communist virus Epidemic.
I saw someone post on Facebook saying to remember these words, and one of them was from AOC, a federal congresswoman from New York and an extreme left-wing representative in the Democratic Party. She said we must make sure the US economy doesn’t recover soon or Trump will be re-elected. This was probably said last summer, when the epidemic in the United States was abating, because by then she already felt that the economy was recovering rapidly.
However, it must be admitted that there are still many people who do not like Trump. I have always believed that only 20% or 30% of human head decisions come from logic and reason, the rest mainly from emotions. This is true for those who like and support Trump, and the same is true for those who don’t like him.
I often talk to our kids. I find there is a type of person that is particularly unpopular inside the university. These people have something in common, white males, rich Family, smug, think they are exceptionally smart, and like to express bragging. Isn’t that a lot like Trump. Really, it’s more than that, Trump is also a devout Christian, he’s also a businessman, and he was often criticized by the media before he entered politics.
The Post family is the owner of General Foods, very rich, they donated the estate to the U.S. government, hoping to do the president’s winter palace, Winter White House. the U.S. government is very happy, but after bringing found that it costs more than one million a year to maintain, too expensive, and after a year to return, do not want. As a result, the Post family planned to sell. But the property is too luxurious, too flashy, they valued more than $ 20 million, of course, is also too expensive. It turned out that Trump bought it, with only $5 million, plus an additional $3 million, reportedly, to buy all the furniture and fine art decorations inside the estate.
Of course, after buying also redecorated, Trump has more than 120 houses of the estate, turned into a rich club, Mar-a-lago Club, the annual fee for junior members to $100,000, to go on vacation, party, dance, hold major events, etc., all these cost money. So the whole estate, Trump live in it, of course, is only a small part of it, but also can greatly profit tens of millions of dollars a year.
There is a very large American flag in front of this Sea Lake estate, with a flagpole 70 feet high. The local town, which is the town of Palm Beach, stipulates that the local flagpole can only be up to 40 feet, and the flagpole in front of Trump’s Sea Lake estate was initially 80 feet. The local town government asked him to take it down, and Trump refused to do so, and he was fined $250 per day, which he did not pay, so of course the lawsuit went to court. The two sides finally settled out of court, the flagpole became 70 feet, do not have to pay the fine, but Trump “donated” to the local town government 100,000 dollars.
These stories were reported in the media before Trump ran for president. In the minds of ordinary Americans, Trump is the representative of a bad capitalist who is rich and unscrupulous. Many American intellectuals do not like him, and he is simply a representative of the “class enemy” in the lower left. Therefore, the biggest problem of Trump’s presidency is that American society is thus severely divided between those who like him and those who don’t like him or hate him, and are severely opposed.
Trump also does other things besides real estate. For example, the entertainment industry. He invested in the TV show “Apprentice” (Apprentice) is very popular, he himself also starred in the boss of the company, the end are going to fire the main character, “You’re Fired!” as we know, the entertainment industry, each character has its own fixed character, both men and women, movies and TV are The same. Think of Schwarzenegger, it must be thick and tough; think of Madonna, is sexy, these are the keys to success. Trump is also the same, he said himself, People don’t like me is my character, meaning, not liked by people is my characteristics. This point is also very important ah, the role of the antagonist needs this role characteristics ah.
These, have become a huge obstacle to his political career. But four years ago Trump’s successful campaign, in fact, shows that Americans are a little tired of traditional politicians. This point, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are aware of. So the Democratic Party launched Obama and Hillary, a black man, a woman, the purpose is to get rid of the traditional image of politicians. But of course these are not the key, the key is that the American political circle has formed a huge self-imposed closed system, people do not trust them.
Trump has been the president of the United States for four years as an outsider, which is the only time in the history of the United States, more than Reagan, who was at least the governor of California, considered an insider. Trump has so many disadvantages, but actually made so many things, which is also considered a kind of luck of the United States, because it simply can not happen in other countries.
His achievements are good or bad, according to what the Chinese often say, their own history to judge. And my attitude is very clear, so I won’t say much here.
Yesterday morning at 8 o’clock, Trump left the White House and caught a plane back to Florida from Andrews Air Force Base. At the airport, he gave a short speech. One of the most important phrases was “we’ll be back in a different form.
This is a phrase that will keep many people up at night worrying. The two houses controlled by the Democrats are still impeaching Trump, which is funny to say, he has left office, if there is any problem, any crime, it is up to the courts, not the parliament to manage.
In the United States, if the president commits a crime, the court can not control, only parliamentary impeachment, so the impeachment of the president is equivalent to the Senate formed a temporary court to judge that president guilty. Of course, the key for the Democrats to impeach him is that if the impeachment is successful, the House of Representatives can pass a bill with a simple majority that would prohibit Trump from returning to government office.
Still, Trump is 74 this year, and 78 in four years, so it’s hard to say if he can, or will, still run for president. But he does have a good chance of staying involved in American politics in some way, which is to return to the political circuit.
The poll found that after Jan. 6, about 90 percent of voters who support the Republican Party still support Trump, 80 percent say they will not vote again for a Republican lawmaker who supports Trump’s impeachment, and 60 percent of people across the United States think impeaching an outgoing president is a waste of money. The survey, conducted by mainstream media national broadcaster NBC.
Apparently, 74 million Americans who voted for Trump, at least 80% still support him. So he still has a huge influence on the future of American politics. The Washington Post reports that Trump is planning to form a new party, probably called the “Patriot Party”. If this party is joined by incumbent federal senators and representatives, the structure of U.S. two-party politics will disintegrate. But much of the U.S. political system is designed for a two-party system, and the Patriot Party’s main competitors are first the Republicans and then the Democrats.
So the biggest political shock from Trump is probably still to come, and as he said, the incredible journey is just beginning.
