On January 18, Breitbart News reported that under Joe Biden’s amnesty plan, illegal immigrants would be granted U.S. citizenship if they can prove that they were living in the United States illegally on January 1 of this year. The bill is expected to be introduced into the U.S. Congress immediately after Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
According to a description provided by a “transition official” to the anti-Trump Washington Post, “To qualify, one must be an illegal immigrant who was already in the country on Jan. 1, a move designed to curb all rush to the U.S.-Mexico border.”

According to the Washington Post, Biden would also ease visa restrictions on doctoral graduates in science, technology, engineering and math. Breitbart News believes that the biggest beneficiaries of this policy would be university and technology company investors.
Biden’s bill also doubles the annual flow of foreign graduates to U.S. companies by granting additional visas to the spouses and children of immigrants. Breitbart News reports that currently one million people working for U.S. companies each year hope to get a green card, but only 70,000 actually get one.
Breitbart News comments that any opening of immigration policies to foreign college graduates is a threat to the jobs and wages of American graduates. These non-American college graduates are taking skilled jobs from young Americans and keeping wages low for young Americans, with the end result being an increase in the stock value of Global 500 companies.
Under current rules, legal immigrants can obtain citizenship and the right to vote within five years of receiving a green card. But Joe Biden’s bill would allow immigrants to go from green card status, to U.S. citizenship in as little as three years. Breitbart News believes it would allow about 3 million illegal aliens to be able to vote in 2024, with the result that many Republican politicians’ current positions would be in jeopardy.
Many businesses and investor groups favor the U.S. government’s long-standing immigration policy of attracting cheap workers and taxpayer-paid consumers from abroad to help increase sales and profits in the U.S. economy.
But Breitbart News says mainstream media reporters have ignored the fact that these cheap labor immigrants and temporary contract workers, who take jobs from America’s young and old, have stirred up widespread and deep opposition in the private sector. At the same time economists recognize that the effect of this immigration policy is to concentrate money from employees to employers, transfer money from families to investors, transfer money from young to old, concentrate money from children to parents, transfer money from homebuyers to real estate investors, and concentrate money from inland states to coastal states, which are home to many investors and Democratic Party donors. The end result is a polarization of wealth.
This economic shift that occurred four years ago, which started to shrink many Republican-run states in terms of wealth and health, actually helped Trump defeat the Republican establishment at the time and get elected president in 2016, Breitbart News said. The same economic shift boosted President Trump’s support among white, black and Hispanic working-class people in 2020. According to a government-funded study by Breitbart News, blue-collar households have seen little income growth since the 1986 amnesty, but yet in 2019 under Trump, those blue-collar households saw their incomes rise by 7 percent.
The Washington Post article does not mention any major upgrades to border security or curbing illegal immigration for employment. Breitbart News judges that these policies may be proposed before the Senate vote so that Biden and allies can claim that concessions have been made in these areas.
