Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe releases another video of an internal Twitter meeting to give the public an idea of how Twitter censors speech.
On January 18, investigative journalist James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, continued to release a video of an internal Twitter discussion. The video captures a Jan. 8 discussion between Vijaya Gadde, head of Twitter’s “Law, Policy and Accountability” department, and CEO Jack Dorsey and another executive just after Twitter permanently shut down Trump‘s account.
In the video, the Twitter executives review in detail their process for blocking President Trump’s account and censoring the “correctness” and “legitimacy” of Twitter speech; moreover, they emphasize that this will be a global program for Twitter.
Twitter censorship function: “citizen integrity policy”
Geddy said that Twitter has a policy for censorship called the Civic Integrity Policy, which is specifically used to “tag, to temporarily remove, to permanently block” accounts.
On the matter of Trump’s blocking, Geddy said the Twitter team believes “Trump’s tweets are inciting violence” and causing “real world harm,” and while she acknowledged that Trump is trying to calm things down, the executives are “concerned” about readers’ ability to “accept” and “understand” Trump’s tweets, so they believe Trump’s tweets are “still risky.
In response to another executive’s question about “how to ensure the continuity of the ‘citizen integrity policy’ globally,” Geddy opened up about Twitter’s plans to scale up speech censorship by getting rid of accounts that they consider “misleading” messages and “puns.
“A lot of the work we did here last week is the same work we’ve built up in other parts of the world. We’ve seen violence happen in those places either because of misleading information or because of coded rhetoric, so we’ve learned a lot here from other markets,” she said. She said. “So in that sense, we do feel that this is our global strategy and we need to focus on scaling up to implement policy or implement decisions.”
Geddy then touched on the process of blocking Trump’s account, and seemed to feel a little guilty that she had only temporarily blocked Trump’s account for 12 hours at first instead of permanently blocking it all at once. In the words of Project Truth CEO O’Keefe, it was as if Twitter was being run by a group of “activists” because Twitter employees had written a joint letter strongly requesting that Trump’s account be immediately “permanently blocked without skipping a few steps. s account” immediately.
Geddy explained that blocking Trump’s account in several steps was a way to “gain public trust,” especially after Trump’s “leave peacefully” message to protesters, and that it was too blatant and blatant to permanently block his account.
“The punitive measures we took were a major escalation of our past implementation of Trump’s ‘citizen integrity policy’ and we felt it was important to send a signal, that is, to tell the public that we are seriously concerned about this and that this is a serious breach of our policy. ” She said. “We feel it’s also important to build trust, and it’s also important to warn before permanently shutting down such an important account. Especially after (Trump) also sent a conciliatory message asking the protesters to leave peacefully, etc.”
She believes their decision was the “right one” and a collective decision made by the team after evaluation.
In the video, Geddy said Twitter has formed a team that will look back at voters’ tweets in accordance with the company’s censorship policy, known as the “Civic Integrity Policy,” and has decided to escalate enforcement efforts with measures such as “tagging” and “disabling She said the tweets were “potentially inflammatory content. She said the tweets were “about election meddling, election fraud, election theft, and other such content.”
Twitter argued that the content of the posts was suspected of being “conspiracy theories” and “a serious violation of Twitter’s policies” and “causing serious harm. So, Geddy said, “we’re going to be not only more aggressive but more proactive in enforcing our policies.”
Twitter labels censorship ‘justice’
“O’Keefe, founder of the Truth Project, said it was Twitter’s way of labeling their censorship “righteous. He said Project Truth’s recent revelations have led to the arrest of a Texas Democratic campaign official named Raquel Rodriguez for voter fraud.
“While this man could face up to 20 years in prison, the mainstream media and high-tech companies just refuse to acknowledge the existence of election fraud,” O’Keefe said. O’Keefe said. “It’s no secret that high-tech companies censor content about election fraud, including our case. But listen to how they’ve justified censorship of their real, irrefutable rhetoric.”
The video garnered nearly 8,500 comments in just six hours. People expressed their fear and anger at high-tech companies censoring public speech so much, with some saying, “It’s called communism.”
@LuminatrixFanFiction: This “Law, Policy and Accountability” executive has the power to silence a world leader whose political views she herself has twisted to disagree with and thus considers “wrong thinking” ……
RT @MattHazzard: They’re really talking about how to control people. Don’t pretend, they’re talking about controlling people.
@Maverick: This makes me sick. This is the same company that allows openly and freely curated posts and news links that viciously attack members of the Republican Party; they simultaneously remove all criticism of the Democratic Party; and worse, if a conservative post comes up, they control the traffic so that only progressive comments come up, like “white supremacists are running conspiracy theories again etc.”. Twitter is a terrorist organization that aims to divide America, and it is ground zero for the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
RT @wapitilizzard: Did they look like they didn’t notice the riots all summer while those rioters were using Twitter??
@RogerC: The scariest thing is the power of Twitter, tech companies, and the leftists who are unleashing cancellation, censorship, firing, and trashing anyone who holds a different opinion than theirs.
@rross27: Lenin said, “We must be prepared to use cunning, deception, lawlessness, concealment, and the hiding of facts …… We can and must write a language that expresses hatred, revulsion, and contempt to those who disagree with us.”
@Vlad Impaler: My parents escaped from a communist country and they told me that this is communism!
