The Republican congresswoman took advantage of the Trump campaign to ascend to the top and turned to the “Never Trump” camp to become an infighting agent

Republican House freshman Rep. Nancy Mace (D-NY) couldn’t have pretended to be more of a Trump supporter when she ran for office. Now that she has been elected to Congress, she has transformed into one of the most ardent lawmakers in the “Never Trump” camp on Capitol Hill today.

According to a Jan. 15 report in the National Archives, Congresswoman Mays of South Carolina called for the purge of fellow House Republicans who opposed certifying questionable Electoral College votes submitted by battleground states, and Mays’ proposed investigation of pro-Trump colleagues may also include allegations that they supported the Jan. 6 Stop the Steal rally.

The violence that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 is increasingly being shown to have been orchestrated by anarchists and Marxists. The violence has already resulted in five deaths, including Ms. Ashli Babbitt, a 14-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a Capitol police officer.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Texas), a congresswoman from Joe, has also been targeted and labeled as a member of the QAnon movement in the anti-Texas offensive launched by Mays. Ms. Greene, a freshman congresswoman, also found success with President Trump’s electioneering.

In an exclusive interview with the newly minted Republican lawmaker, Mays said, “I’m disgusted by what you (Rep. Greene) and other Q conspiracy theorists, have done in the wake of last week’s violence.”

Rep. Greene’s response instead hinted at Mace’s ties to Black Lives Matter terrorism, saying, “Don’t believe the fake news.” In an interview with U.S. media outlet Axios, Greene said, “Who among the freshman House members really betrayed everyone’s trust by leaking our chatter to the media?”

The National Archives argued that freshman Rep. Mays’ quick defection to the “Never Trump” camp itself raises the question for voters: Did Mays deceive South Carolina voters by pretending to support Trump from the start?
