Secretary of State Pompeo announces he’s stepping down in a week, asks fans to track his private account

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced in a statement on Twitter on the morning of the 13th that he will be leaving office in a week and that @SecPompeo, which is a government official account, will be closed at that time. He shouted to his longing fans to track his private Twitter account immediately and “do it now”.

In a Twitter statement on the morning of the 13th, Pompeo, 57, wrote: “One week from today, I will step down as Secretary of State, and this account will be closed. Remember to track me down at @mikepompeo. Do it now.

Pompeo’s official Secretary of State account was activated in April 2018 and currently has 3 million tracked followers. Pompeo is the 70th Secretary of State of the U.S. Department of State, working with the best diplomatic team in the world and as “a husband, father, Army veteran and honorable Kansan,” the introduction section reads.

His private account, activated in August 2019, currently has more than 483,000 tracked followers, with a profile that says he is the 70th U.S. Secretary of State and “a Christian, husband, father, and honorable American.
