Israel warns Syria: Stay away or we’ll fight together

The Israeli Air Force has reportedly begun dropping a large number of leaflets in southern Syria. The leaflets issued by the Israeli army directly warned the Syrian 1st Corps and directly named Brigadier General Bazil, commander of the 112th Brigade of the Syrian 1st Corps, not to continue cooperation with the Iranian-armed Lebanese Hezbollah. Otherwise, the Israeli army will conduct targeted killing operations against him and his surroundings.

In November 2020, Israel struck another Syrian officer, Major General Akram, who was publicly warned by Israel in a leaflet. The bomb flew directly into the office of Major General Akram, commander of the 7th Division of the 1st Syrian Army Corps.

Late in the evening of Jan. 7, 2021, Israeli warplanes were striking Iranian targets south of Damascus. They were intercepted by Syrian air defense missiles, and Israeli forces destroyed the Syrian air defense missile radar while striking a position of the 112th Brigade. So, this time, Israeli warplanes specifically scattered leaflets in large numbers to give a final warning to the Syrian army in this area.

Warning them to close their doors and sleep and not come out when Israeli warplanes, attacking Iranian army targets. Otherwise, there will be an Israeli strike. The problem now is that not only Syria, but Iran itself cannot stop Israeli air power in Syria. Although, the Iranian Air Force has about 50,000 troops and more than 300 combat aircraft of all types. However, the main types are American-made F-4 Ghost, F-5 Tiger, F-14 Tomcat and Russian-made MiG-29s produced 30-40 years ago, etc.

Ground air defense forces are mainly equipped with U.S.-made “Hawk”, British “Light Saber” and some Russian “SAM” series surface-to-air missiles. The air defense missile systems provided to Iran by the United States in the 1970s and 1980s have lost their operational capability due to a lack of spare parts, while other non-systematic air defense weapons received from Russia and other countries are relatively outdated.

Iran’s most advanced air defense weapons are the Russian-made S-300PMU-2 long-range air defense and Doyle-M1 close-range air defense missile systems, as well as Iran’s newest domestically produced air defense system, the Bavar-373 “, “Khordad-15”, “Talash”, “Khordad-3”, “Mehrsad-16 ” and so on air defense missiles. However, Iranian air defense forces have not achieved any success in the Syrian theater.

So far this year, Israel has sent to 2 air strikes against Iranian forces in Syria. Now it looks like Israel is going to have a big operation in the near future, however, it is not known what the target is. However, it is clear from the Israeli flyers that the target should be near Damascus, and it should be a major bombing campaign against Iranian bases in southern Damascus.

South of Damascus, there are Iranian long-range rocket and short-range ballistic missile bases, as well as transit bases for Iranian arms and ammunition transfers to Lebanon and Palestine. As well as Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters buildings in Syria, communications centers and weapons, ammunition and rocket assembly factories, among others.

That’s why Israel is naming and shaming the Syrian army and commanders serving as air defense in southern Damascus, Syria. Tell them to hide away or they will fight together.
