The Chinese delegation to the UN stressed its firm opposition to any form of official exchanges between the US and Taiwan, saying that the US is “engaging in political manipulation on the Taiwan issue”. The Chinese side said that any act that undermines China’s core interests will not succeed and reminded the US that “those who play with fire will get burned.”
