President Trump delivered a 2 minute and 41 second speech at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 7. He began by condemning the violence in Congress saying, Because violence makes me angry, deploy the National Guard immediately. Violence and destruction do not represent our country. Those who break the law will pay the price.
President Trump said emotions are running high after a heated election, but now we must remain calm and collected, and now is the time to heal and cool down. For the United States, this is a moment to “heal and stand down” because the Communist virus epidemic has cost American lives, the economy and countless lives.
President Trump said, “I have always used the law to pursue the integrity of elections. I believe our election laws need to confirm the identity and legitimacy of those who vote. I will have a seamless and smooth transition with the next administration by Jan. 20.
President Trump also told his supporters, “To my wonderful supporters, I know you’re disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is just beginning.”
President Trump concluded by saying, God bless you and God bless America.
