Video Exposes Joe State Senate Candidate Warnock Wants to Cut Police Funding

A secret video recently emerged showing members of the team of Raphael Warnock, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Georgia, saying he actually wanted to cut police funding.

Derrick Bhole, a member of Mr Warnock’s team, is shown in the video (see here) saying: “He [Warnock] avoids talking about cutting police funding because he knows republicans will seize on that and attack him, right? But virtually everything he says about police reform is the same as those who are proposing to cut funding for the police.”

Another team member, Sasha Williams, says in the video: “You know that not all cops are nice, you know what I mean? Most of the police are bad.” Asked later if Mr Warnock wanted to cut police funding, she said: “Absolutely!”

The video was revealed Jan. 4 by the nonprofit Project Veritas.

“Warnock does not support police cuts, and Georgia voters know that,” Michael Brewer, a spokesman for Warnock’s team, told the EPOCH Times in an email. They also know that [Republican candidate] Kelly Loeffler will not fight against election fraud, will not respect Georgia voters or campaign for Georgia, and will not support a $2,000 bailout check.”

Before the video was released, Republican Senate candidate Jill Lovler noted warnock’s support for cuts in police funding. In an interview with Fox News on Jan. 3, she said that people know what Democrats want to do, and that Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, “told us he’s going to take Georgia and change America.”

“We know that these extreme actions are not just high taxes, open borders, cuts in police funding, government control of health care,” Lovler said. “Warnock wants to fundamentally change America.”

During a debate last December, Lovler said more than a dozen times that Warnock and the Democrats wanted to cut police funding. Warnock’s response: “I don’t want to cut police funding, and Lovler knows that. She wants to distract people.”

Mr. Warnock, who supports criminal justice reform, believes there are too many prisoners, according to the campaign’s website; Mr Warnock sees a need to provide police budgets responsibly and redefine the relationship between the department and the community.
