Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who is in charge of elections, on Saturday to seek his support for flipping the election in Georgia. A recording of the hour-long conversation was published the next day by the pro-Democratic Washington Post. Trump later tweeted a response to the call.
According to the French news station Francinfo, which played a clip of Trump’s recording this morning, Jan. 4, Trump said during the call, “Get back 11,780 votes, just one more than Biden. Because we won this state.” Trump added, “You know what they did and you don’t say anything about it: it’s a crime, you can’t let that happen, it’s a big risk for you.”
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who was accompanied by a state attorney listening to the call, countered Trump by saying, “We think our data is right.”
The recording of this call came to light after Trump said Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger responded to his request with incompetence. Raffensperger, for his part, denied it.
It is reported that Georgia has recounted its votes three times, and none of the results have overturned the general election results. The Trump camp objected to merely recounting the ballots, but demanded that the signatures be verified. Trump believes that several swing states, including Georgia, would be sufficient to reverse the election results if all illegal ballots were eliminated and all legal ballots were counted.
Trump responded with a tweet after the call was released, saying: The number of votes in the swing states we talked about on the call was large enough to determine the outcome of the election. Only Democrats and some “Republicans in Name Only” (RINOs) would dare to question this, even though they already know it’s true.
Global Integration Tears Society Apart
Trump’s tweets are often followed by a war of words between two factions of Internet users, and it is clear from their arguments that the U.S. election has brought to light a serious tear in American society.
Some commentators point out that those who are on Biden’s side are: the capitalists behind the mainstream media, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, Hollywood… They are the “winners” of global integration and the Democratic/Republican establishment that represents them, and even some judges, while many on Trump’s side are middle-class and rural conservative groups.
On the eve of the U.S. House and Senate meeting on January 6 to certify the election results, 12 Republican senators, led by Ted Cruz, demanded that a commission of inquiry be set up immediately to investigate election fraud, or they said they would disavow Biden’s election when Congress certifies the results of the general election vote on January 6.
