Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei tweeted in French: “The youth of France! Please ask your President: why does he support insulting the Prophet of Islam and calling it freedom of speech? Does freedom of speech mean cursing and insulting those great and sacred figures? Isn’t this stupidity an insult to the national consciousness of a country that has chosen Macron as its president?”
“Another question is: Why is it a crime to suspect the Holocaust? If someone writes about it, then he should go to jail, but insulting the Prophet of Islam is free?”
