Even if you wear a mask when you go out, you get a new crown! Singapore single mother shares her experience of battling the virus

After being diagnosed with neo-crowned pneumonia, a beautician shared her experience, saying that she had to take injections, IV drips, blood draws or X-rays all day long, and that the hospital had implemented a policy of not allowing patients to come into contact with anyone to avoid infection.

In an interview with China Daily, 26-year-old Juju Lee, a coronary patient who is still undergoing treatment, said she had not seen her three young children – a 9-year-old daughter and sons aged 6 and 3 – in person for more than two weeks and could only talk to them by video, now that she had left them in the care of her mother and godmother, due to the hospital’s policy of not allowing visitors.

She confessed that she did not tell her children that she was suffering from neo-coronary pneumonia, only that she was not feeling well, but that it was heartbreaking to see her children get emotional, such as crying and gagging.

“Those (people) who haven’t felt it don’t tell us that it’s easy and quick to pass because we don’t really know what it’s like without experiencing it, we don’t have contact with people outside, we don’t even allow visitors, do you think it’s easy? Several times I’ve tormented myself to the point of tears, and it’s true that if I’m not strong I’ll end my life.”

She said in a recent Facebook post that she still has no appetite and can’t sleep well, and that besides losing her sense of taste and smell, she also suffers from muscle aches and pains, and even when she takes a few steps, she gets wheezy and dizzy, and occasionally has difficulty breathing.

Nurses work at all hours.

In addition, Lee Joo Ling also mentioned in the face book that because of the shortage of medical staff at the hospital, most of the doctors are on call for emergencies, so patients have to rely on nurses, but the new coronary pneumonia department is very busy, and sometimes even in emergencies may not find nurses.

She said nurses are working at all hours and even wake up patients in the middle of the night or in their sleep.

“Doctors are rarely in contact with you (the patient), they use the phone to communicate with you.”

Lee Chu Ling noted that the doctor informed her that even after being discharged from the hospital, it would still take some time to recover, but she would face the long process of fighting the disease with an optimistic attitude.

When asked about the source of her infection, she responded that she does not like to go out, usually either at home or to work, even if she goes out, she will wear a mask, so the source of the infection is really unknown.

She admits that many people who are infected don’t even know they’ve been “hit” because most people think they have a cold or flu if they don’t have symptoms.

“I know there are still a lot of people who think that if they take two Panadol, they’ll be fine. I want to ask you, do you really think you’re sick with the common cold? Whether the government will pay attention or not, please take care of your own body.”

She pointed out that although the coronavirus is invisible, it does surround you all the time, and she has seen many patients and health care workers diagnosed in hospitals.

Lee Chu Ling reminded the public that in addition to carrying masks and making hand rubs, they must also keep their personal distance and not take chances with the epidemic.

“Even if not for yourself, think of your family, friends and children. Imagine how you would feel and feel if it was your child, parent, or loved one who was infected.”

She also reminded everyone to take a shower straight after returning from a trip and to avoid any contact such as hugging or kissing if there are children at home.
