The development process and quality of China’s new coronavirus (CCP virus) vaccine is highly questionable, and many Chinese medical personnel have a negative attitude toward official mobilization at all levels for vaccination, with some experts suggesting that it is better to have the vaccination first for leading cadres. The issue of vaccination then highlighted the political overtones of the relationship between officials and the public.
Behind the refusal of health care workers to vaccinate
A video recently circulated on the Internet has sparked public concern. Professor Zhang Wenhong, director of the Infection Department at Huashan Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Fudan University, gave his personal opinion at a meeting on Dec. 22 on the situation in which many medical staff refused to be vaccinated after the authorities conducted layers of mobilization and testing to map out the vaccination against the domestic New Coronavirus vaccine.
He said, “Whether you have 10% vaccination or 20% vaccination, actually we are not in a hurry.” He also said, “So who is going to should play first today? I personally feel that now to play is the leading cadres to play first”.
Zhang Wenhong, male, born in 1969, has long been engaged in the clinical research of infectious diseases and liver disease, director of the Infection Department of Huashan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, secretary of the party branch, chief physician, doctoral supervisor, advanced individual in the fight against the new pneumonia epidemic, won the “national famous doctor – excellent style” and other awards, his speech is known for its wit and humor, blunt and sharp.
The Epoch Times and other media reported that none of the local Communist Party officials signed up for the emergency vaccination mapping notice in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. A similar emergency mapping in Shanghai in November showed that health care workers were reluctant to be vaccinated, with more than 90 percent of health care workers at Yangpu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine refusing to be vaccinated.
The Shadow of Fake Vaccines
The lack of credibility in the development process and quality of China’s coronavirus vaccine is for good reason.
Mr. Zhou, a resident of Anhui Province, told the Voice of America, “If I were to get the vaccine, I would definitely not go to the first one because this vaccine is not yet reliable and has to be internationally recognized. The international recognition of this Chinese vaccine can be used, we the people can use with confidence, at least to get the consent of the World Health Organization department. The new crown vaccine is not a toxic vaccine, I think, we are still not clear,”
Mr. Zhou said, “Because many of our domestic vaccines have gone wrong, such as that infant vaccine, there have been a number of infant vaccine (accidents) in China, resulting in the unfortunate death of those little babies, these things are known both at home and abroad, are very clear. We, the people, call these vaccines toxic vaccines.”
According to the data, on March 17, 2010, nearly 100 children in Shanxi Province died or were disabled after being injected with vaccines, causing widespread concern among government departments and society, known as the “Shanxi Vaccine Incident”.
In addition to the tainted vaccine incident, on July 15, 2018, China’s State Drug Administration issued a notice that Changchun Changsheng Biotechnology Co.’s rabies vaccine production had falsified records and other acts, less than a year after the plant was found to be out of compliance with the validity index of the Bai Bai Bao vaccine in 2017.
Many parents of vaccine victims are among China’s civil petitioners, whose family experiences and claims have gone unresolved for years, and are often the target of stability maintenance by authorities.
