Latin America received its first officially approved COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, with Mexico’s foreign minister calling the arrival of the vaccine “the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 epidemic,” the Capitol reported Wednesday evening.
The Pfizer-Biontech vaccine was shipped by DHL to Mexico City’s international airport, but officials wouldn’t say how many.
