Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was attacked with a nerve agent in August this year and was once in critical condition. President Vladimir Putin denied that it was Russian agents who did it, but CNN revealed today (21) that a Russian agent had been trapped and asked to poison Navalny, and that the agent was secretly planted in his underwear, a very sinister and vicious tactic.
According to CNN’s exclusive report today, this shocking news is CNN and investigative news site Bellingcat to Navalny team to obtain the results of the tracing. After escaping death, Navalny was determined to find the culprit himself, and called Konstantin Kudryavtsev, a member of the FSB’s toxicology team, with a fake phone number, and set him up to tell the truth.
Kudryavtsev, mistakenly believing that he was explaining to the “chief who was trying to find out why the poisoning mission failed,” revealed the first direct evidence that Navalny had indeed been poisoned by the FSB during the 45-minute call.
During the call, Kuryazhev revealed that the nerve agent Novichok had been planted in Navalny’s underwear. When asked by Navalny whether it was in the inner or outer layer of his underwear, he replied, “The inner layer, in the crotch.
CNN quoted toxicologists as saying that if Novichok is placed in the pants in the form of pellets, once the victim starts to sweat, the agent will be absorbed into the body through the skin.
Navalny because of the exposure of Russia’s top corrupt practices, long regarded by Putin as a thorn in his side. The report said that CNN and Bellingcat’s joint investigation found that the FSB poison team had about 6 to 10 agents following Navalny for more than three years.
Putin also confirmed last week that the FSB followed Navalny, but denied intending to poison him, and said that if Russian agents do, will “end” the matter.
