Cannonball Biden a word to break the confusion Linwood replied to Smartmatic – Linwood replied to Smartmatic: not to withdraw any statement

Linwood replies to Smartmatic on Powell’s behalf: No retraction

Voting machine manufacturer Smartmatic recently asked Sidney Powell’s attorney to withdraw a statement alleging Smartmatic’s involvement in election fraud. Prominent attorney Lin Wood responded on behalf of Powell on Dec. 20, saying he would not retract any statement.

In an email response to Smartmaticl’s attorney, Lin Wood said, “I read your letter of December 15, 2020 in detail and was not impressed. Attorney Powell will not retract any statement. You are free to sue.”

Linwood tweeted on the 20th, “Attorney Powell understands my knowledge and experience in handling defamation charges, so let me respond to Smartmatic’s threat to sue on her behalf. All of Attorney Powell’s election fraud allegations are well documented and true, so my response to Smartmatic is very simple and straight to the point.”

U.S. media: Chinese Communist Party uses Hong Kong’s big arrest to test Biden, satisfied with results

On December 18 the Wall Street Journal published an editorial that the arrest of Next Media founder Lai Chi-ying and other Hong Kong democrats was a test of Biden by Beijing. The article argued that for now Xi Jinping should be pleased with Biden’s vague response.

The article mentions that Lai Chi-ying angered Beijing with his trip to Washington in 2019. At the time, Lai met with U.S. political figures, including Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Footage of Lai in shackles was revealed after his arrest on Dec. 3.

The report suggests that Xi hopes to silence the Hong Kong people through intimidation and to test the reaction of Biden and his team to it. China scholar Perry Link, a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Riverside, said, “By publicly picking on Li Zhiying, it may be that Beijing wants to see how things will play out. So far, Xi must be pleased with Biden’s lack of response, the article says.

The Chinese Communist Party steals U.S. technology, monitors U.S. college campuses, intimidates critics, engages in mass espionage and threatens U.S. allies in Taiwan and Australia. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has struck back with a series of responses, from condemning China’s detention of Uighurs to sanctioning the officials responsible for the crackdown in Hong Kong.

Biden himself has not responded to the Chinese Communist Party’s actions, and his team’s response has been vague.

Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national adviser nominee, only tweeted last week that he was concerned about the “continued capture and imprisonment of pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong,” without mentioning names.
