French President Emmanuel Macron said today that he is feeling well after testing positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), but admitted that he had to cut back on his activities because of the symptoms of the disease.
In an audio and video message on his Twitter account, AFP reported that Macron noted, “I’m fine. My symptoms today are the same as yesterday: tiredness, headache, dryness. Just like hundreds of thousands of you.
I’ve been a little less involved because of the virus,” he said. But I’m still dealing with priority issues, like this epidemic, or, for example, Brexit.
The French presidential palace Elysee announced on the 17th that President Macron has been diagnosed with the disease and must be quarantined for 7 days according to the regulations and keep working remotely. The first lady Brigitte Macron and Prime Minister Jean Castex, who have been in contact with the president, have also been isolated on their own.
