On Dec. 3, U.S. Director of National intelligence John Ratcliffe wrote in the Wall Street Journal that the Communist Party is’ the greatest threat to the United States today and to global democracy and freedom since World War II, ‘and that U.S. policy makers must be prepared for a long confrontation with Beijing.
Ratcliffe’s team is now preparing its assessment of foreign interference in us elections. Ratcliffe was quoted by CBS News on Wednesday as saying that in the November election, “there was foreign election interference from China [the Communist Party], Iran and Russia.”
