The data also shows that the number of Macao resident permit holders in Taiwan also increased to 289 in October, the highest in the past 10 months. By the end of October, 692 Macau people had been granted residence permits to come to Taiwan; the number of settlement permits was 111.
In response to the Hong Kong Causeway Bay bookstore owner Lin Rongji mentioned that the Hong Kong government may increase the obstacles for Hong Kong students to come to Taiwan to study, Qiu Chuizheng said that whether the information is true, the Land Commission continues to pay close attention, but the Hong Kong Basic Law gives Hong Kong people the freedom to enter and leave the country, calling on the relevant parties should protect the freedom and rights of Hong Kong people in accordance with the law.
