The date for the re-election of Georgia Senators, who have a stake in the future color of the U.S. Senate, is approaching. Yesterday two Democratic candidates were simultaneously exposed as having ties to the communist state.
As news of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), a member of the Congressional Intelligence Committee, being infiltrated by a female Chinese Communist spy is flaring up, and reports are being heard about the Georgia Democratic Party, Trump Jr. tweeted, “Another Democrat with ties to the Chinese Communist Party may be in a significant position of power.
Ossoff and the Chinese Communist Party
Trump Jr. retweeted a report from the Free Beacon. It revealed that millionaire Richard Ossoff, the father of Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Jon Ossoff, had commissioned a Chinese shipbuilder, Jet-Tern Marine, to build him a yacht in 2008. Marine to build a yacht for him.
The yacht, Selene 1519, later renamed Cronulla, was on a sea trial trip attended by many Chinese Communist dignitaries. According to a deleted press release found by the media, the Selene 1519’s “sea trial” was attended by 40 to 50 people, including “many dignitaries from the client, Pingsha and Zhuhai, the media, vice governors, bureau chiefs and editors of China Boating magazine. But this big yacht never felt crowded”.
According to JieTeng’s Chinese webpage, the company was founded in 1998 and is now the leading yacht manufacturer in China, with two factories and 800 employees in Dongguan and Zhuhai. The chairman, Taiwanese businessman Howard Chen, has been featured in numerous profiles and interviews on the Chinese portal.
The Free Beacon cites an English-language interview with Chen, who has received support from numerous high-ranking officials, including former Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang.
“Vice Premier Wang Yang once inspected JieTeng, and he gave me a thumbs-up.” Chen wrote in his 2015 self-introduction. “Later, when I started to integrate the industry chain and capitalize, another leader said that I saved ten years.”
In a 2018 interview, Chen Hongwen praised the Chinese Communist government’s support for the yacht industry. A year later, the “Chinese Ministry of Information Technology” included JieTeng in its plans to “increase support for yacht design and manufacturing” and to “conduct key science and technology packages with relevant state departments,” “vigorously promote the development of the domestic yacht equipment industry.”
According to the Free Beacon, in addition to the aforementioned yachts that link the Ossoff family to companies with ties to the Chinese Communist Party, Jon Ossoff himself has a film company, Insight TWI, with ties to Chinese Communist media companies. The film company has received at least $5,000 in funding from PCCW (PCCW), which is backed by the Chinese government, for at least the past two years. Moreover, Jon did not disclose this amount in his financial report, although he quietly filled in this part of the financial report in a later amended document.
Warnock and Cuba
Another Georgia Democratic Senate candidate, Raphael Warnock, has also had his history of expressing explicit praise for Cuba’s communist dictator Castro turned up by the public.
According to a video forwarded by Nathan Brand, communications director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Warnock said at a public event in 2016, when Castro died, that Castro’s history was “complicated,” “just like the history of the United States is complicated.”
“Our prayers are with the Cuban people at this time.” Warnock, then a church pastor, said. “We remember Fidel Castro, whose legacy is complicated, and don’t let anyone tell you a simple story, life is often not very simple, and his legacy is complicated, just as the legacy of the United States is complicated.”
Prior to that in 1995, when Warnock was an assistant pastor at a church that used to host celebrations of Castro. Warnock’s campaign currently strenuously denies that history, saying Warnock was not the one making the decisions at the time.
In November, Warnock denied on CNN that he ever said that. Show host Jake Tapper asked him, “Why do so many people think that praising Castro is praising an ugly dictatorship, that he’s a murderous thug?” “Do you understand why people are appalled by praising Castro?”
Warnock replied, “Of course, I’ve never (praised) that.” “I’m pushing for American values in this campaign …… I’m proud of my country.”
CNN interview.
If Warnock is proud of America, why does he say that America’s heritage is “complicated”? Why did he say that America’s heritage is “complicated” and compare America’s history to Castro’s?
In response, Brand told PJ Media that “radical liberal Rafael Warnock not only praised a communist, a murderous dictator, but also tried to mislead Georgians”. “Voters will continue to be appalled by Warnock’s laudatory remarks about dictators, Marxists, anti-Semites, anti-Americans, and there is no doubt that Warnock is too radical for Georgia.”
Ossoff and Warnock are currently challenging two incumbent Republican senators, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. Republicans could become the majority party in the Senate if they win one more seat.
