Recently, Xinba (real name Xin Youzhi), a live-streaming anchor who is known as “the first brother of Racer”, was accused of selling bird’s nest that was actually sugar water. On December 10, Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned from Guangzhou Baiyun District Market Supervision Bureau that the bureau has investigated the company of the Xinba team involved in the incident. Isn’t this all water?” In addition, she captioned the video, “The bird’s nest bought by Team Simba’s ‘Time is Beautiful’ live broadcast is all sugar water, can you give an explanation?” Subsequently, the video was widely reprinted and spread, with some netizens claiming they bought the bird’s nest from Team Simba and had the same situation. However, some netizens questioned the inaccuracy of the video released by Zhu Lin, suspecting that she herself ate the bird’s nest and left the sugar water to shoot out.
On November 6, the brand of this bird’s nest, Guangzhou Rong Yu Co., Ltd. also made a statement on the matter saying that the products issued this time are all qualified and genuine, and have been compliant and legal through all aspects of the quality inspection process, and there is no quality problem. For those who maliciously edit the video, use misleading terms to distort the facts and spread, maliciously slander the company’s brand products, the company will use the law to defend the legitimate rights and goodwill.

Later, she sent another short video to clarify, but the online violence didn’t stop there, “Simba’s team said on air that they would sue me for defamation, and it was because of this response that the online violence got even worse. When I went out and was recognized, some people even called me ‘Sister Bird’s Nest’.”
Since then, Zhu Lin has deleted the two videos she posted and removed other videos containing personal information.
Zhu Lin told Beiqing News that she was not in good health and bought bird’s nest to improve her immunity, but she did not expect to be subjected to online violence because of a video.
