Poll: 80% of French believe Islam has declared war on the French Republic

France held a state funeral on October 21 at the Sorbonne for Samuel Patti, the history teacher who was brutally beheaded by an Islamist mob. The first of these is a new series of polls that will be released in the near future.

History teacher Samuel Patti became a symbolic figure of the values of the French Republic when he was killed for teaching free speech in a classroom displaying cartoons of the Prophet of Islam. Teachers in France are considered to be the bearers of the values of the French Republic, and schools represent the future of France. So the Islamists want to take away our future, but they know they can’t do it with “calm heroes” like teacher Samuel Patti there, President Emmanuel Macron said last night at the funeral of teacher Patti.

Poll: Islam Declares War on France

Following the murder of history teacher Samuel Patti last Friday, 87% of French people believe that France’s secular principles are in danger, and 79% of those polled believe that Islam has declared war on the French Republic, according to a poll cited today by the French weekly magazine Le Point, Oct. 22.

The poll was commissioned by the pollster Ifop on behalf of two French media, CNews and Sud Radio. It also includes 78% of respondents who believe that teachers are justified in showing satirical religious cartoons to students to explain the various ways freedom of speech can be used, and 76% who believe that teachers do not have enough support from their superiors at the time of the incidents.

In the fight against Islamism, 44% of respondents trusted Marine Le Pen, president of France’s far-right National Union; only 40% had confidence in Macron and his government.

A further 76% of respondents advocate banning the CCIF (Coalition contre l’Islamophobie française), a radical Islamist group that has been targeted by French authorities.
