Thousands of fake designer masks entering the U.S. from China were seized by U.S. Customs

Apollo.com, compiled by Wenbo Li, reported on May 20 by National Pulse that officials have seized thousands of fake designer masks valued at more than $1.3 million that had entered the United States from China.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in a press release that “CBP officers intercepted a shipment from a Chinese (communist) country in Indianapolis that contained more than 4,500 designer masks.”

The shipment was allegedly destined for Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico) and included masks from luxury brands such as Dior (Dior) and Louis Vuitton (Louis Vuitton).

“Insiders discovered 4,550 counterfeit medical masks from fashion designers, Dior (1,150), Louis Vuitton (1,100), Gucci (1,400), Burberry (400) and Fendi (500). The masks were reviewed by import experts and it was determined that the items were counterfeit. If these items were genuine, the total suggested retail price would be over $1.36 million.”
