Left-wing hatred of Judea

As Israel and Hamas exchange fire, there are always a few Jew-hating pseudo-great-left-wing intellectuals who can’t help but show their faces.

Adeel Raja, a writer employed by CNN, took the position that “the world today, needs a Hitler.”

In the 2014 World Cup, Raja tweeted that he would definitely support Germany in the World Cup final for the sole reason that “Hitler was German and he did a good job with those Jews.” At the time, Twitter did not cancel the man’s account because of his comments.

Raja tweeted again calling on Germans to wake up to Hitler in their hearts, and even directly tweeted “Heil Hitler”. Previously, CNN still employed this man as a columnist.

In Western intellectual circles, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a very emotional and complex issue. On one side are the Islamic Palestinians and on the other side are the Jews. Many of the so-called intellectuals who are crusading against Israel with their lips actually have a sense of hatred for Jews. The German left-wing writer Gunter Grass, famous for his novels “The Tin Drum” and “The Year of the Dog’s Face,” was a strong supporter of the Palestinian liberation movement during his lifetime, but spread Jew-hatred in his poetry. On the eve of his eightieth birthday, he finally admitted that he had joined the Nazi reserve army during World War II. The Israeli government declared Glass to be a Judeophobe and a racist, and classified him as persona non grata in a so-called liberal package.

But liberals in the West have long associated “Anti-Semitism” with the so-called far right. Mel Gibson, a right-wing Hollywood actor and director, was one of the targets. Gibson’s film of the crucifixion of Jesus was a realistic representation of the brutal torture of Jesus, and was accused of implicitly inciting hatred of Jews after its release. However, in the “narrative” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the left has deliberately downplayed the long-term strategy of the hostile forces facing Israel, such as Iran, which has repeatedly claimed to “wipe Israel off the map,” arguing that Israel is the high wall and the entire Arab world is the so-called “egg. After qualifying them, the condemnation of the so-called high wall is overwhelming.

The gene of Judeophobia is latent in the blood and marrow of many people in the West, irrespective of left and right. The Judeophobia of the far right is easy to identify. The Judeophobia of the left is disguised by equality and love.

But in terms of painful historical memory, the Jews have been persecuted far more than the Arabs. China may have earned a longstanding favoritism and a certain “neutrality” among the Western leftist intelligentsia because of its history of aggression by the powers since 1840, but the Western left has been far more selective and critical of the Jewish dream of statehood.

There is no standard right or wrong in the territorial rights and wrongs between Israel and the Arabs, both of whom have been violent in excess. But today Israel is shelling the other side’s strategic stronghold, at least warning civilians to evacuate first. Israel is not Serbia, nor is it a Nazi, and only institutions like CNN and Twitter periodically show their true colors.
