The strange “fall” of a male high school student, Lin Weiqi, from Chengdu 49 High School has sparked a national outrage for the truth. The Chinese Communist Party ordered its online army to smear the incident as “manipulation by foreign forces” and said it was strictly preventing a “color revolution. The central-level party media then appeared to “clean up” and released a so-called “video of the deceased slitting her wrists before she died”, but it raised more questions.
The party media “washing the ground”?
At 1:49 a.m. Beijing time on May 13, Xinhua posted a report overnight, claiming to “restore the incident of Chengdu 49 middle school students falling to their death”. The report shrugged off the school’s responsibility and implied that Lin Weiqi was “out of love” and had “suicidal tendencies”, and that the surveillance video showed Lin Weiqi “slitting his wrists before falling off the building”. However, there are many doubts in the report, and netizens have been accused of “washing the ground”.
According to the report, Lin Weiqi left the back door of his classroom at 18:16 on the 9th, and appeared at the end of the corridor on the 5th floor of the laboratory building at 18:39:44, the whole process of video surveillance “continuous and complete”. And from 18:39 to 18:49:28 surveillance on the fall of Lin Weiqi figure, this 10-minute period because he climbed to the connection platform not installed monitoring, so the monitoring is missing.

Netizens say that these episodes are hardly in line with the logical thinking of normal people.
In addition, the report said that Lin Weiqi left the pump room “wrist has appeared obvious wounds”, but from the beginning there is no mention of the scene of any blood, including from the pump room all the way to the laboratory building connecting platform. The report only emphasizes that in the fall site found trampling marks, shoe prints and fingerprints, but not a word about blood.
As for why it took two hours to notify parents, the report said it took more than an hour for the school to confirm the identity of the deceased because “the student had serious head injuries that made identification difficult”; and because “the class teacher of the deceased left his cell phone at home”, it took another hour to find the contact information of the parents of the deceased. It took nearly another hour to find the contact information of the deceased’s parents.
However, the report then quoted the deceased class teacher as saying, “I did not dare to look at the scene, or through the photos to identify it is Xiao Lin.”
According to this, the class teacher may not have gone to the scene to identify the deceased after the incident, but the class teacher was able to identify the remains of the so-called “serious head injuries that make identification difficult” based on photos alone.
The report also said that in order to “not interfere with normal school teaching”, the school authorities directly informed the mother of the deceased to meet at the Jumping Stomp River police station next to the school at 20:44. The “wrist slash video” or double acting?

In the one-minute long video clip of the pump room, the footage is fast-forwarded more than a dozen times, showing “Lin Weiqi” cutting the skin of his left arm with an object. The video shows that the sharp “utility knife”, as it is officially called, has been plunged into the skin many times, but no obvious injuries are seen, let alone blood dripping down.
The first 6 seconds of the video and 10 seconds later, there is a deviation in the angle. However, what makes netizens doubt the video is that if Lin Weiqi’s “suicidal tendencies” are so obvious, why the official did not release it first to quell public opinion, but only after three days.
