The Gateway Pundit reported on May 10 that the chaotic situation at the U.S. southern border is entirely Biden’s doing, but yet Biden wants states to reach out and accommodate illegal immigrants. On Tuesday, 20 Republican governors wrote a letter to Biden telling him, “We have neither the resources nor the obligation to fix the federal government’s problems and pay for the consequences of this administration’s missteps.”
The letter reads, “This crisis is too big to ignore and is now spreading from the border states to all of our states. Most recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which calls on many of our states to identify potential housing sites for immigrants, has also bypassed our states altogether by requiring private organizations and nonprofits in our states to house unaccompanied immigrant children in facilities that often lack adequate security. It is unacceptable and unsustainable for the federal government to place a potentially unlimited number of unaccompanied immigrant children in facilities in our states for an unknown amount of time with virtually zero transparency.”
Republican governors believe the border crisis is due solely to the reckless reversal of federal policy implemented during Biden’s first 100 days in office, and that the disastrous effects on the American recovery will be far-reaching.
The border situation continues to deteriorate while Biden does nothing. The governors urged Biden to act to end the humanitarian crisis and immediately protect America’s southern border.
The 20 states are, Tennessee, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Joe, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
