After celebrating Mother’s Day in the United States on May 9, former U.S. President Donald Trump left Florida for his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey after celebrating the holiday with his family, including Melania and Barron, at his Sea Lake estate. Trump’s fundraising and political base will move from Florida to the Bedminster golf club in New Jersey this summer, sources said.
Trump has been saying he may run in the 2024 election, but his aides say they will only make a decision after mapping out the House and Senate quotes for the 2022 midterm elections.
According to the Daily Mail, Trump first had dinner with Melania and Barron on May 9, then he met with his political strategist and Turning Point USA student activist contributor Erin Elmore outside his Sea Lake estate and hugged Elmore’s young son, Royce Elmore. Trump then boarded a private jet from Florida to New Jersey.
Trump has been staying at the Sea Lake estate in Florida since he left office in January, but this summer he decided to head to New Jersey. As a result, the main building at Sea Lake Manor will be closed all summer and will not resume operations until the fall.

It is unclear if Melania and Barron went to New Jersey with Trump on May 9, as it will depend on the schedule of Barron’s school.
Florida Republican Larry Casey (R) said this is a habit for Trump. For the past 20 years, he has always spent the winter in Florida and then gone north for the summer. So this summer, Republicans hoping to get Trump’s support in the 2022 midterm elections will also head to a golf club in Badminster to meet with Trump.
Trump moved his family from New York to Florida later in 2019, and all three of Trump’s adult children, Trump Jr, Ivanka and Tiffany, now live in Florida.
Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, is a New Jersey native, and his parents are also in New Jersey. The Ivankas are also reported to have investments in golf courses in Barminster, so it is expected that they may join Trump in New Jersey.
Trump’s second son, Eric, remains in New York to work.
Trump’s eldest son Donald Jr, second son Eric and second daughter Tiffany also shared photos on Twitter and Instagram on May 9 giving them a photo with their mother and wife and lovers.
