Three Chinese telecom operators say: will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange

On May 7, three Chinese telecom companies said they will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange under U.S. investment restrictions imposed last year.

Earlier Friday, China Mobile made another announcement; China Unicom and China Telecom said the NYSE is expected to notify regulators of their delisting after the companies lost their appeals.

A spokesman for the NYSE declined to comment.

The delisting system stems from investment restrictions imposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump on Chinese technology companies.

Biden retained those rules amid ongoing tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

The companies said their delisting will take effect 10 days after the exchange files Form 25 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
