Those who falsify history will eventually be reprimanded by history

This year is the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the CPC has released a book entitled “A Brief History of the Communist Party of China”, written by the Party History Research Office of the CPC Central Committee and published by the CPC Party History Press, calling for a nationwide study of this history.

I am not in the mood to find this book to read, but I know that this book must be written in accordance with Xi Jinping’s “supreme instruction”: “we cannot deny the first thirty years in the next thirty years, nor can we deny the next thirty years in the first thirty years”, that is, the Chinese Communist Party is always correct and glorious. The Chinese Communist Party is always correct and gloriously great.

When we read history, the most important basis is historical facts, and only with historical facts can we have historical knowledge, and only with historical knowledge can we form a historical perspective.

What is historical fact? It is the true history, not the distorted, broken, masked, fragmented history, first find out the historical truth, and then make research.

What is historical knowledge? Historical knowledge is the interpretation of history. Interpretation of history can not be based on subjective good or bad, first of all, we must follow the laws of historical development, followed by the fundamental interests of the people, and finally, we must follow human nature. History is composed of human behavior, leaving human nature simply can not be explained; the development of history are based on the fundamental interests of the people, leaving the overall interests of the people, history has no direction; history has its own law of development, it follows human nature and the fundamental interests of the people to develop, contrary to these three principles to interpret history, are absurd.

What is historical perspective? Historical perspective is the macroscopic understanding of history. History should not only be interpreted, but also have a comprehensive macroscopic overview, through historical facts to grasp historical knowledge, from historical knowledge to establish a historical perspective, only to grasp the historical perspective, history is meaningful to us. A correct view of history leads us to know history, see reality, and look into the future, while a wrong view of history makes us deaf and blind.

The CCP is probably the party in the world that pays the most attention to history. The legitimacy of the CCP’s rule in China comes not from the mandate of the Chinese people, but from his ability to fight and sit on the throne. History is their description of themselves, and the greater and more wise they describe themselves, the more his legitimacy is confirmed. On the contrary, if the CCP gives the Chinese people the perception that not only has it not done much good, but that it has harmed the Chinese people badly, politically oppressed, economically exploited, and culturally despotic, if he has done a lot of bad things that no one in China knows about, then the legitimacy of his rule does not exist, and without legitimacy, he can easily be overthrown by the Chinese people.

Therefore, the CCP attaches importance to history and tries every possible way to dress itself up, erasing all the “bad things” and magnifying all the achievements, so that as long as the Chinese people believe in the history he provides, accept his interpretation of history, and establish a historical view consistent with his, then the CCP can sit on the throne in a grand manner.

If, on the other hand, the real history of the CCP reveals a brutal, shameless and despotic face, torturing Chinese people for decades, killing tens of millions of compatriots, and making a mess of the economy and culture, then the legitimacy of his rule in China will be in doubt. Therefore, the history of the CCP cannot be flawed or questioned. Historical truths must be covered up, historical research must be restricted, and historical views must be in the interests of the CCP, not the Chinese people.

Who denied the first thirty years? Actually it was all denied by the CCP itself. The anti-right movement was completely denied after the Cultural Revolution, so why should all rightists be rehabilitated? If the anti-rightist movement was correct, why should they be rehabilitated? The Great Leap Forward was also denied by the Chinese Communist Party itself. Once the Great Famine came, the Great Leap Forward could not be continued. The Great Famine killed 40 million people, which is based on statistics, and even Liu Shaoqi said that the starvation deaths would be in the history books. The Cultural Revolution was also denied by the Chinese Communist Party itself. In the “Resolution on Certain Historical Issues of the Party since the Founding of the People’s Republic”, the Communist Party characterized the Cultural Revolution as “a civil unrest that was wrongly launched by the leader (Mao Zedong) and exploited by the reactionary groups (Lin Biao and Jiang Qing), bringing serious disasters to the Party, the country and the people of all races. It was used by the reactionary groups (Lin Biao and Jiang Qing) to bring serious disasters to the Party, the country and the people.

The CCP’s acknowledgement of its historical mistakes and crimes against the Chinese people would have been embraced by the Chinese people. A political party facing up to its own wrong history is what makes the party viable and is the basis for the Chinese people to continue to have hope in the CCP. But the CCP only recognized its mistakes in the decade or so after the Cultural Revolution when it learned from its mistakes. Since then, the CCP has become more and more incoherent about its mistakes and sins, and more and more overstated its faults, until Xi Jinping simply wiped out all its faults and sins, and once again denied even those it had denied.

The truth of history is never buried, and sooner or later the dirty history of the CCP will be revealed to the world (in fact, no one overseas knows about it). The CCP’s whitewashing of its own history is based on a peasant-style ignorance and scoundrelship that runs counter to modern concepts. Facts are facts, lies are lies, and history is so clear that there is no room for denial or excuses.

Not long ago, the Hong Kong Education Bureau quietly changed the phrase “the Republic of China retreated to Taiwan” in elementary school textbooks to “the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan”, which is an example of falsifying history. The Chinese University of Hong Kong dismantled the “University Research Service Center” (which had the richest collection of contemporary Chinese history) in order to prevent Hong Kong and overseas Chinese from pursuing the historical sins of the Chinese Communist Party. The rulers thought they could manipulate history, but it turns out that they will eventually be liquidated by history. Qin Shi Huang was a tyrant for a thousand years, and Mao Zedong was also a tyrant for a thousand years after all. Xi Jinping’s whitewashing of Party history is, in the end, a waste of effort.
