Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will join Fox News as a contributor, becoming another former U.S. government official to join the media outlet.
Fox News said Thursday (April 8) that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will provide his analysis on the media platform, including Fox Business Network. He will make his debut on “FOX & Friends” on Friday.
Pompeo, a 56-year-old Republican born in Orange County, California, is a graduate of West Point and Harvard Law School and has served as an officer in the U.S. Army, a U.S. Representative from Kansas and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
On April 26, 2018, he joined the Trump (Trump) administration as the 70th U.S. Secretary of State until Jan. 20, 2021. After leaving office, he joined the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank, as a distinguished fellow.
Fox News is part of the Fox Corporation, a new company formed independently of the remaining businesses after the Walt Disney Company acquired Twenty-First Century Fox. The channel’s main competitors are CNN and MSNBC.
Pompeo is the latest former Trump administration official to join the media group.
On March 2, “The Faulkner Focus” (The Faulkner Focus) program host Harris Faulkner (Harris Faulkner) to the former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany (Kayleigh McEnany) to do an exclusive interview, she will become a member of Fox News.
McEnany, who graduated from Harvard Law School in 2016, joined the Trump administration as White House press secretary in April 2020.
In addition, the outlet said on Jan. 26 that it had hired Larry Kudlow, a senior economic adviser to former President Trump, as a contributor and host of a new segment.
Kudlow, who has hosted several programs on CNBC News, became director of the National Economic Council and assistant to the president for economic policy in April 2018 until he leaves office in January 2021.
According to Fox, starting Feb. 8, Kudlow will “provide expert financial-related analysis of U.S. and global affairs” for the outlet.
