On April 6, informed netizens disclosed that Chinese Communist Party troops have crossed the China-Myanmar border and arrived in Muse township in Myanmar. The video posted by netizens shows a large row of military vehicles parked in the streets of Muse town, including armored vehicles, artillery, and material transport vehicles. The Chinese side said it was to protect Myanmar’s gas pipeline. But there is no official report on this.

There were no other vehicles on the street, and what appeared to be Burmese soldiers with guns were seen guarding the side of the military vehicles. There were men in plain clothes on the side of the road taking pictures with their cell phones.

The 793-kilometer-long pipeline starts from Kyaukpyu, Rakhine State, Myanmar, with six stations and process facilities, and passes through Rakhine State, Magwe Province, Mandalay Province, Shan State, and enters Ruili, China via Nankan.
